Am off to NYC to see what shows are available for next season.  Among others I plan to see Spamalot (will miss Clay Aiken’s debut by a week), A Bronx Tale starring Chass Palminteri, The Gazillion Bubble Show and Matt Dusk.  Do you have a favorite show or entertainer?

 Back in Austin, we have added a second show of Cowboy Noises starring Jaston Williams.

So I am ready for Dame Edna at the Paramount in January.  I got these glasses in prepartion.  Now, if you are not familiar with the Dame Edna Experience, then I quess this picture looks pretty ridiculous.  Actually, I quess it looks ridiculous no matter what.  (I can’t believe I posted it on the net!)  Anyway, tickets to all our shows go on sale September 5… unless you are a donor/subscriber -you can order tickets now.

You know, these glasses could also work for Tuna Does Vegas.  Speaking of Tuna… I chatted with Jaston Williams this week.  He and Joe are back from their  successful run at the Grand Opera House.  Jaston told me they are upgrading the sets and making some changes to a few scenes based on how it played out in Galveston.  I loved what I saw there,  so this only means Jaston is keeping his promise about the Austin premiere – it has to be perfect for Austin because this is home.  

I love that we have Jaston three times this season:  Tuna Does Vegas,  A Tuna Christmas, and Cowboy Noises.  Welcome home Jaston.  It’s going to be a great season at the Paramount!

Tuna Helper

I ran into Jaston Williams this morning at Las Manitas.  I always seem to run into someone I know there.  Anyway, Jaston reports that he and Joe are having fun working on the new show, Tuna Does Vegas, which is scheduled  to play the Paramount Oct-Nov.  I actually had lunch with Jaston about three months ago and he did tell me a little bit about the play.  While I can’t tell you all the secrets, I am confident we are in for a wild ride with the residents of Tuna on their trip to Las Vegas.  Can anyone tell me how many stops between Austin and Vegas when flying Southwest Airlines???  A laugh riot it will be…  and then later in the season more laughs are sure to come with Jaston’s new one-man-show Cowboy Noises.   If you have never seen a Tuna show (Greater Tuna, A Christmas Tuna, or Red, White & Tuna) you can still enjoy this 4th show, but why not order the Greater Tuna DVD just to get familiar with the residents of Tuna, Texas.
