Ken Stein is currenlty the Executive Director for the League of Historic American Theatres but he used to be the Executive Director for the Austin Theatre Alliance which manages the Paramount and State Theatres in Austin, Texas. Known for his humorous, but way too long curtain speeches, Ken used to post comments here to keep curtain speeches to a minimum… and/or apologize, explain or otherwise revise any comments made that might have been influenced by his consumption of the Paramount’s signature cocktail – The Houdini Martini. Today, Ken writes about his adventures with historic theatres across the United States and Canada.
