Just checked in on the progress of our plumbing issue… three feet down and still digging! Considering we were built on the site of the old Avenue Hotel and the War Department of the Republic of Texas, who knows what they might find before locating the pipe.
Recently we discovered that our men’s room on the first level was… errr… having some issues whenever the theatre was full of patrons. A few hundred in the house – no problem. But a full house of 1,000+ and things were getting… well shall we say … a bit deep.
It’s always scary when you try to fix something at this historic theatre… inevitably you discover another problem along the way. But it was either this or a port-0-potty. Add this with our $100,000 air conditioning issue and we have had an expensive summer. But no one want to lose the Paramount…
