They are getting ready to open up the pipe. Finally, after 100 years, we will have the answer – does our shit really stink?
For now the digging has stopped and a camera will take a look at the pipe as it snakes through the lobby. It doesn’t look good but our fingers are crossed that the problem is easily fixed and no more digging in the lobby will be needed. While we are waiting, I decided to share the above picture. It is a piece of an old china plate that we found about 2 feet down. I wonder if it could be from the old Avenue Hotel?
