I love it when a big, flashy show finds its way to our little historic stage. The whole theatre comes to life and it makes me think this must have been what it was like back in 1915 when the Majestic (aka Paramount) was new. The national tour of Ain’t Misbehavin’ never looked so good.
Rubben Studdard and Frenchie Davis knocked my socks off with voices as big as the set. And it was a pleasure to discover that these American Idols haven’t let the fame go to their heads. The whole cast is just terrific.
Come see the show before it closes on Sunday.
